ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORISATION APPLICATION GUIDE
Below is a guide to completing the ETA application.
You will need the following documents:
1.Passport style photo or functioning webcam to take a photograph during application - JPEG
2.Copy of the Bio-Data page of your passport - JPEG or PDF
3.Copy of your flight booking confirmation (including arrival and departure details and your full name) - JPEG or PDF
4.Copy of your safari itinerary from your tour operator - JPEG or PDF
Please take note: The passport style photo may not be the same photograph as your passport and must be clear and in colour.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the planned date of arrival in Kenya and have at least one blank page
APPLICATION TYPES
1. INDIVIDUAL APPLICATION
- For one traveler
2. GROUP APPLICATION
- for a family, couple or friends travelling together in a group of up to 9 travelers
All travelers in the group must share the following:
- country of residence
- purpose of visit to Kenya
- travel (flight, cruise etc.) and accommodation itinerary for their entire stay in Kenya
NB: if there are more than 9 travelers, please apply as 2 or more groups
INSTRUCTIONS – FOR GROUP AND SINGLE TRAVELLERS
1. Go to www.etakenya.go.ke
2. Click on the red tab - Apply Now
3. Follow instructions
NB: you are able to apply for an ETA on behalf of others.
PROCESSING PERIOD.
Select Standard Processing. The total amount due will appear at the bottom of the screen
NB: based on your travel date, a Premium Service may appear to enable faster processing of the ETA. This will be at a higher cost than Standard Processing.
PAYMENT.
A payment portal will appear, process your payment
SUMMARY PAGE.
Your application details will appear on a successful submission summary page.
Please use the link provided in your confirmation to check the progress of your ETA. Upon approval, you will receive an email confirmation with your ETA.
