This 14-day journey begins with a gentle arrival in Arusha before continuing into northern Tanzania’s key wildlife regions. Your time in Tarangire National Park is shaped around its large elephant herds and the distinctive baobab-dotted landscape, with game drives paced to allow for unhurried observation.
From here, you move on to the Ngorongoro Crater, where a single, contained ecosystem allows for concentrated wildlife viewing within a relatively short period. The journey then continues into the Serengeti, where several days are set aside for consistent game drives across open plains, with the flexibility to follow wildlife movement as it unfolds.
The final part of your time shifts to Zanzibar, where five nights at Breezes Beach Club & Spa are set aside to slow the pace. Here, your days can settle into a quieter rhythm, whether spent along the shoreline, in the water, or simply at rest after your time on safari.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will be met on arrival and assisted through to your transfer to Arusha. The drive is straightforward, allowing you to settle in gradually after your journey.
You’ll spend your first night at Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge, set within a working coffee estate on the outskirts of town. The setting is quiet and contained, making it a comfortable place to rest, adjust to the time zone, and ease into the pace of your time in Tanzania.
After breakfast, you’ll leave Arusha and continue by road to Tarangire National Park. The drive allows the landscape to shift gradually, from the busier outskirts of town into quieter, more open terrain.
Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and the presence of baobab trees scattered across the landscape, along with seasonal river systems that draw a steady concentration of wildlife. You’ll head out on your first afternoon game drive, with time to move at an unhurried pace and begin to understand how the ecosystem functions—watching for elephant movement, as well as plains game and any predators that may be active.
Later in the day, you’ll continue to Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge, where the setting remains closely connected to the surrounding bush. The evening is left open to rest and settle in after your first time out on safari.
Optional activity (not included): Hot air balloon safari.
This morning, you’ll leave Tarangire and spend time in the surrounding rural areas, where a guided walk through nearby farms and villages offers a more direct understanding of daily life in this part of Tanzania. The pace is gentle, allowing time for conversation and observation.
You’ll also share a traditional lunch prepared by a local women’s cooperative, adding a personal dimension to the experience before continuing your journey.
In the afternoon, the route climbs gradually into the Ngorongoro Highlands, where the air cools and the landscape becomes more elevated and green. You’ll arrive at Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp, positioned close to the crater rim, allowing for an early start the following day.
On Day 5, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game driving. The crater floor offers a contained environment where wildlife viewing is often consistent, with time to explore different areas and pause where sightings unfold.
After breakfast, you’ll continue onward toward the central-western Serengeti, with the landscape opening gradually into wider plains as you travel. The journey itself becomes part of the experience, with an afternoon game drive en route allowing time to pause for sightings along the way.
You’ll arrive at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp, set in an area that provides good access to surrounding wildlife corridors.
Days 7 and 8 are set aside for exploring the Serengeti at a comfortable pace. This region supports a steady presence of plains game, which in turn attracts predators, making it a strong area for consistent wildlife viewing. Your time here allows for flexibility—following movement across the plains and adjusting each day according to what unfolds.
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. The journey marks a clear shift from inland safari to the coast, with the landscape giving way to the Indian Ocean as you arrive.
On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to Breezes Beach Club & Spa. The next few days are intentionally left open, allowing you to settle into a slower rhythm. Time here can be shaped as you prefer—whether along the shoreline, in the water, or simply at rest after your time on safari.
At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight, with all arrangements coordinated to ensure a smooth and unhurried departure.
