
Your adventure begins at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be transferred to your accommodation. The next day, you will head to Mabamba Swamp, where you might spot the elusive Shoebill Stork. From there, continue on to Kibale National Park to participate in an intimate chimpanzee habituation experience amidst stunning wildlife. Finally, venture to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife viewing and a chance to see the magnificent tree-climbing lions. This safari is designed to immerse your family in Uganda’s extraordinary ecosystems and create precious memories that will last a lifetime!

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, you will be met by a Nurture Africa representative who will assist you through immigration. Once through immigration you will be transferred to your Guesthouse for your overnight stay.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit Mabamba swamp in search of the Shoebill. Mabamba swamp where most of the birding is by canoeing, as you look out for the rare Shoebill Stork as well as other birds
Transfer to Entebbe Airport for a flight to Kasese Airstrip.
Upon arrival, you will meet with your guide and drive to Kibale National Park where you will be taken to the Lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will take a walk in the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, the activity can take 3-4 hours through swamp boardwalks, villages and forest pathways.
Experience Chimpanzee Habituation in Kibale Forest National Park. A briefing will take place at 06:30 at the park headquarters, after which you will be led by an experienced Ranger Guide into the forest to find the chimps as they awake from their nests. You will follow a chimpanzee family, observing how they hunt, feed, mate, play with the young, interact and rest. You will get to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings, scars and other unique features that make them stand apart from the rest. There are 4950 chimpanzees within Uganda; Kibale Forest alone has the most with almost 1500 Chimpanzees. In the afternoon after tracking, you have the opportunity to take a guided walk through in a nearby village. Afternoon visit to Kasenda crater lake.
After breakfast you will drive to the Southern part of the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha sector, crossing the equator along the way. Ishasha sector is famous for its unique tree climbing lions. It’s dominated by candelabra trees with big branches that allow lions to rest up in the trees. There are also the savannah woodland trees like the acacia trees. Embark on a game drive in search of the tree climbing lions and enjoy relaxing sundowners on your return to lodge.
Your morning game drive will give you the opportunity to see many other animals to be seen along the way and another chance to see the tree climbing lions if you did not see them on the previous game drives. After the game drive, there will be a bush breakfast in the park, one of the best experiences and highlights you would not wish to miss. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Today, you depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Of Uganda’s Forested Parks, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for gorilla tracking, but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelope, as well as 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine Rift. There is a lot of bird watching along the way to your overnight lodge.
An early wake-up is required to prepare for the gorilla trekking for the day. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the afternoon you may take a Village or Forest walk in Bwindi National Park.
Another early morning awaits for your second gorilla trekking experience of these gently giants. A thrilling trek through the Impenetrable forest led by an experienced ranger Guide provides inspiring views in all directions. You will trek a different family and get to spend time watching the adults feeding their young ones, brushing and resting as the youngsters play from vines in a pleasurably playful display.
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport in time for your international flight. Unfortunately this is end of your Uganda Safari!
